It's Levi and Juvenal writing, we are two deep-sea fishing guides. We want to introduce to you the wonderful beaches of Puerto Escondido, in State of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Our grandparents were anglers, and they passed the passion and love for fishing on to us: it's a great art we have been sharing for years.
We were among the first fishermen starting deepsea fishing in Puerto Escondido. Please come visiting us in these Pacific Ocean open waters, preys like black marlin, sailfish, dorado, tunafish, lo shark, roster fish, frel, il barracuda, pargo and spanish backerel are waiting for you.
There are several ways to capture these species: we can use artificial nad live baits, "hurricanes" (gummy squids); and rapala.
The boat it's a 25ft fiberglass open (about 7,5 meters) with an offshore motor of 60 HPS. It has GPS, sonar and life vests for your safety. It's the perfect boat for both deep sea and coast fishing. 2 to 5 persons can fish together.
We have already caught 100lbs sailfishes with 15 lbs lines, and 80 lbs tunafishes with 20 lbs lines.
However, our record is a marlin weighting 500lbs, caught with a 80 lbs line and a Penn 06 wheel. It took more than 4 ours of big fighting before pulling it out of water!
The best period for marlin is between october and december. January and february are perfect for sailfish.
From january to may ocean flowings drive to Puerto Escondido coasts big quantities of nutritional substances composed of milions of larvas and eggs of meny species of fishes, such as shrimps and other shellfishes.
It's also possibile to admire whales, dolphins and turtles, all over the year.
